Interbox Terms of Service
Effective: October 16, 2026. Operator: none named yet; see Status.
Status: demonstration. Until an Operator is named on this page, inter.box is a demonstration run by Inter Dot Box LLC of Woodinville, Washington. It delivers test tokens with no value, on a test network. It sells nothing. Do not send money to it unless Inter Dot Box has invited you to test it. It has no automated way to return a payment: each test payment is returned by hand, and if you sent one without an invitation, write to the contact below.
1. What the service is
You buy a US dollar stablecoin into a crypto wallet you control, and you pay for it by Zelle® from your own bank account. The Operator sells you the coin and delivers it to your wallet. There is no account to open, no balance held for you, and nothing to log in to.
A stablecoin is not a deposit. It is not insured by the FDIC or any government agency, and it is not an obligation of the Operator. Its value depends on its issuer.
2. Who you are dealing with
The Operator is the institution named at the top of this page. It receives your payment, sells you the coin as principal, delivers it, and runs the screening, limits, returns and support described here.
Inter Dot Box LLC owns the Interbox software and US Patent 12,737,752 and licenses them to the Operator. Inter Dot Box LLC does not receive, hold or transmit your money.
3. How it works
- Connect a wallet you control. Choose a network and a coin the Operator sells.
- Your wallet signs a message naming your wallet address, the network, the coin, the fee, the address of these terms and the time. Your Inter Box Code™ is computed from that signature.
- Send a Zelle payment from your own bank account to the Operator's Zelle address, with your code in the memo.
- The Operator matches the code and delivers the coin, less the fee, to the wallet that signed. Delivery goes only to that wallet.
One code serves one combination of wallet, network and coin; make a new code for another. A code expires 90 days after it is created. Delivery usually takes minutes and depends on your bank, Zelle and the network.
4. Your own wallet, your own account
- Pay only a code you created, with your own wallet, from your own bank account.
- Never pay a code someone else gave you. A code delivers to the wallet that created it, so a code from someone else sends your money to their wallet. Nobody legitimate will ask you to pay their code.
- You control the wallet and its keys. Keys lost are coins lost; the Operator cannot recover them.
- The Operator may require that the payment come from the person who signed the code, and may return a payment that does not.
5. Who may use it
- You are 18 or older and live in the United States.
- You pay from your own account at a US financial institution, using Zelle under that institution's terms.
- You are not in, and do not ordinarily live in, a country or region under comprehensive US sanctions; you are not on a US sanctions list; and you are not acting for anyone who is.
- You buy for yourself, not for anyone else.
The Operator may refuse any purchase.
6. Price, fee and limits
You receive one coin for each dollar paid, less the fee. The fee is the one shown when you created your code; it is in the message your wallet signed.
One payer may send no more than $2,000 a day and $5,000 in any seven days. The Operator may set different limits, limits for each wallet, and a hold on a first payment. Whatever the limits, no single payment may be $3,000 or more. A payment over a limit is returned.
7. Returns, and when a purchase is final
A payment is returned by Zelle to the account it came from, within one business day of receipt, if it carries no valid code, an expired code or a code that cannot be matched; if it exceeds a limit; or if it fails screening. The Operator holds no money for you: a payment is either delivered as a coin or returned.
Once the coin is delivered to the wallet that signed, the purchase is complete. A stablecoin transfer cannot be reversed by the Operator, by Zelle or by your bank. Do not dispute a payment for a delivery you received.
8. Screening and records
Before every delivery the Operator screens your wallet address, your name as it arrives with the payment, and the internet address that requested your code against US sanctions lists. It may decline or return a payment, and it reports what the law requires it to report.
The Operator keeps a record of each code, each payment and each delivery for five years, searchable by name, Zelle identifier, wallet address and date, and provides it to authorities when the law requires. Records are not deleted on request within that period.
9. Privacy
Collected: your wallet address, network and coin; the message your wallet signed and the code; the internet address that requested the code; and, from the payment, your name as your bank sends it, the Zelle identifier if your bank sends it, the amount, the memo and the date.
Not collected: identity documents, Social Security numbers, home addresses, or anything your bank does not send with the payment, unless the Operator asks you for it for a purchase above a limit it sets.
Nothing is sold or shared for marketing. Records are disclosed to authorities when the law requires, and to the Operator's regulators and auditors. They are kept for the five years in section 8.
10. Risks, and what the Operator is not responsible for
The service is provided as it is. Networks congest, wallets fail, banks and Zelle delay. The Operator is not responsible for your wallet, your bank, Zelle, a network or a coin's issuer; for a loss from a code you paid that you did not create; for keys you lost; or for a wallet or network you chose. The Operator's responsibility for any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Buying a stablecoin may have tax consequences. They are yours.
11. Changes
The address of these terms is in the message your wallet signs. The version posted when you create a code governs that code. A change takes effect for codes created after it is posted. Earlier versions are available from the contact below.
12. Law
Washington law governs these terms, and disputes go to the state or federal courts in King County, Washington. An Operator named at the top of this page may state its own law and courts in its place.
